16 Nov Richard Riley Appointed Production Director Designate

Richard Riley joined Yorkwold as Production Director Designate in October 2020.

Rich joins us from Cranswick Plc, where he held the position of Agriculture Manager, managing their supply chain for major retailers.

Rich is an East Yorkshire pig farmer’s son who started his career with JSR.  He was made an assistant manager at the age of 21 at the Southburn Unit, before moving into JSR’s Genetics business.  He then moved to Wold Farms (Cranswick Plc) taking a position as Production Manager.  Here he oversaw 50 sites producing over 3,000 RSPCA slaughter pigs a week and a 1,850 sow Red Tractor assured breeding farm.  As Agriculture Manager he was responsible for managing the supply chain from farm to fork managing key retailer relationships.

Rich’s role will be focused on assisting the current production team to ensure the business achieves its goals in productive performance.
