19 Jul Pippa Hoggard graduates as Student of the Year!
The Dewhirst Farming Group’s most recent office recruit, Pippa Hoggard, graduated from her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Agriculture course at Bishop Burton College on 27th June not only with Triple Distinction* but also as Student of the Year. The photo above shows Pippa receiving her Student of the Year award from Countryfile’s own Helen Skelton!
Her course has covered a wide range of agricultural topics, including multi species animal production and crop/grassland production. Pigs were on the syllabus and so Pippa has learnt about the practicalities of modern production, as well as receiving a grounding in animal breeding, nutrition, health and welfare. In crop production Pippa learnt about crop and soil health and science.
Pippa’s course also brought all of the individual farming enterprises together with a farm and estate business planning and management module. Pippa has now settled in very well to her new role at the Dewhirst Farming Group, where she is involved in administration work across the group.
